Kei Komuro
This is Kei Komuro, he is an ocean-loving legal assistant who can play the violin, ski, and cooks; but he is also one of Japan’s luckiest man, why you might ask? He will be the husband of Princess Mako, eldest grandchild of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, who after her nuptials will lose her imperial status, she will leave the Imperial family, and her name will change to Mrs. Mako Komuro.
Princess Mako of Akishino was born on October 23, 1991, in Chiyoda, Japan to Fumihito, Prince Akishinoand Kiko, Princess Akishino.
She studied at Gakushūin School, subsequently studied English at the University College Dublin, before graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Cultural Heritage from International Christian University in Mitaka, Tokyo in 2014, she also holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies.
In addition, to the previously mentioned, she holds a Japanese national certification in curation and studied art history at the University of Edinburgh. Since she came of age, Mako has worked as a volunteer without revealing her identity in the affected areas of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.
Meeting Kei!
Her soon-to-be husband Kei Komuro, 25, is a former student at the International Christian University. They met through a mutual friend in 2012. Kei who lives in Yokohama with his grandfather and mother ever since his father died when he was a child; attended at international school until high school.
He was 18 when he was chosen as a tourism ambassador for Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture in 2010. While in college he taught English at a cram school as well worked at a French restaurant.
Kei works at a law firm in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, prior to that he worked at a bank. He is pursuing a major in business law at Hitotsubashi University’s Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy.
