Marc Silverstein is the producer husband of TV and film actress, Busy Philipps.
Silverstein’s longtime wife is grabbing headlines this time not for a project in the works but for a more personal matter. The 39-year-old actress, writer, producer and director has revealed she was raped at age 14.
Marc’s wife was born June 25, 1979; the Oak Park, Illinois native has been active in the industry since the 90’s. She is well known from acting roles both on TV and film. Her TV credits include cult TV classics like Dawson’s Creek, Freaks and Geeks and Cougar Town, ER, and, most recently, HBO’s Vice Principals. Her movie roles include, Made of Honor, He’s Just Not That into You, White Chicks, The Gift and most recently, I Feel Pretty.
Philipps is currently the host of E!’s Busy Tonight and is the author of ‘This Will Only Hurt a Little’ –a memoir in which she speaks about being raped.
Busy who has been open about struggling with anxiety is also a married woman and a proud mother of two.
Her husband, Marc Silverstein is a producer and the man behind some classic rom-coms including Never Been Kissed, He’s Just Not That Into You, The Vow, and How to Be Single, according to IMDb.
Silverstein was born July 1, 1971; he is a writer and producer.
The two have known each other for over a decade and became husband and wife in 2007. Since then, the couple has welcomed two daughters together, Birdie Leigh born in 2008 and Cricket Pearl, born in 2013.
Silverstein has been described as a romantic, he surprised Busy by incorporating their own wedding vows into his screenplay for the film The Vow. Busy told ABC News “I watched it on an airplane and was sobbing hysterically during the vows part because I saw my wedding vows in there with Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum saying them to each other!”
