Caren Bernsen, born August 1960 is the third child of Y&R star Jeanne Cooper. It’s been reported her famous mother just lost her life after becoming ill due to an infection.
Caren’s mother married television producer Harry Bernsen, Jr. and they were together for twenty-three years before divorcing. The Bernsens had three children, all of whom are actors. Corbin Bernsen of L.A. Law fame born September 7, 1954; Collin Bernsen, born March 30, 1958; and Caren.
In Jeanne Cooper’s recent book released (on July 31, 2012) she makes it known that after their divorce she and ex-husband Harry Bernsen very rarely saw each other (only when family functions dictated) and they were not close or even friends before his death on May 31, 2008.

On behalf of everyone at CBS, we send our condolences to Jeanne’s family, as well as the legions of fans she has amassed during her record 39 years on ‘The Young and The Restless,’ and throughout her career.”
Caren who folowed on the footsteps of her mother and older borthers is also an actress who is now 53 years old. According to her IMDB profile she acted in a film titled “The Trip” back in 1967. Making her debut with only seven years old.
