David Kline
David Kline is the husband of author, Christina Baker, known for writing several novels, including Orphan Train – which spent more than two years on the New York Times bestseller list.
David’s wife recently became known for other than her work. She penned an essay in which she reveals she was groped by former US. President George HW. Bush. Christina becomes the third woman to make similar claims in recent days.
The incident took place in 2014 while she and her husband were at a Houston event for the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. The uncomfortable moment was even caught on camera. At the time, David Kline was accompanying his lovely wife who had been invited to the event as a guest author. After the private luncheon the couple approached Bush, then 90, for a photo.
The blonde says Bush, who is on a wheelchair –squeezed her butt, hard, just as the photographer snapped the photo.’
Actress Jordana Grolnick revealed that President Bush also touched her inappropriately during a photo-op and referenced “David Cop-a-feel” in August 2016.
Bush was first accused by another actress, Heather Lind, who in a now-deleted Instagram post detailed how President Bush allegedly “touched (her) from behind” and told her a dirty joke.
According to her website, Christina Joy Baker is the author of instant New York Times bestseller A Piece of the World (2017). She’s also the author of six other novels — Orphan Train, Orphan Train Girl, The Way Life Should Be, Sweet Water, Bird in Hand, and Desire Lines. She’s also worked in nonfiction.
She was actually born in Cambridge, England to a professor of British and sports history father and a professor of English literature, mother.
The English native is a graduate of Yale, Cambridge, and the University of Virginia, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow in Fiction Writing. Aside from her published work she has taught fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, English literature, literary theory, and women’s studies at Yale, NYU, and the University of Virginia, and served as Writer-in-Residence at Fordham University for four years.
She and her husband are the proud parents of three adult sons, Hayden, Will, and Eli.
Hubby David, is also a teacher. The couple has been married since 1990, according to their wedding announcement. The two met while attending college and were both 26 at the time of their nuptials.
53-year-old David Franklin Kline worked as an English teacher at the St. Albans School in Washington. He was born to parents Dr. and Mrs. Robert L. Kline of Fargo, N.D. His father was a periodontist and his mother an arts coordinator.
He also graduated from Yale University and holds a master degree in English literature from Cambridge University.
