Sometimes you wonder, how far would people go to prove a point? When you are in the news business, there might not be a limit!
According to law enforcement sources, Connor Boals, 26, and Yon Pomrenze, 35,were stopped at the gate to Ground Zero on Tuesday afternoon and charged with trespassing, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.
But just who are this two CNN employees? Let’s find out!
Here is what we know about Connor Boals
According to his own website, Boals who is 26-years-old and is originally from Ada, Michigan works as a digital video development for CNN. He has produced work for Nowthis News, Reuters, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Velonews, ESPN and a variety of other outlets.
He describes himself as a dedicated, serious worker but with an adventurous side, that would result pretty accurate giving his recent stunt! He says

Connor Fieldman Boals who has lived in New York, NY; Ada, MI; and Burlington, VT; attended University of Vermont, earning a B.A, English, Anthropology in 2009. He also has a MS in Journalism, digital media concentration from The Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University.
Boals who also speaks Spanish according to his LinkedIn, has worked in the past as an Editorial Director, Managing Editor, Staff Reporter, News Assistant, Junior Producer and Producer.
He has traveled extensively, visiting over 30 countries – including an extended stay of 6 months in Guatemala where he reported several multimedia projects.

Then we have, partner in crime, 35-year-old Yon Pomrenze. He attended Columbia Univeristy in the City of New york where he earned a B.A . in International Relations and Affairs.
Yonatan D Pomrenze has worked for NBC News; Pomrenze has been with CNN for two years, and before that spent 7 years at NBC News. He started out as a Desk Editor in 2005, then Field Producer in 2007 and Producer for NBC up until 2012.
He is the grandson of Col. Seymour Pomrenze. He wrote about his grandfather in an article published last month, due to the release of “The Monuments Men” movie.
Here you can read about Yon’s story of his grandfather, Seymour who near the end of World War II volunteered for the OSS (the intelligence agency that was the precursor to the CIA); and who passed away in 2011.
