Meet Mrs. Lisa Collins; she is the lovely wife of Republican politician Doug Collins, former United States Navy chaplain, a former state representative in the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the 27th district, and current United States Representative from Georgia’s 9th congressional district.

Rep. Collins announced he is running for President on May 2, 2019.

Surely you all know plenty about Doug Collins, therefore allow us to tell some interesting facts about his wife.

52-year-old Lisa Collins was born Lisa Jordan White on February 6, 1965. Mrs. Collins met her husband in church, they dated for some time, before tying the knot in June 1988.

Together they have three amazing children; sons Copelan and Cameron and daughter Jordan, who was born with myelomeningocele, a severe form of spina bifida.

In 1992, before Jordan’s birth, an ultrasound showed then Jordan has an open spine, the news was shocking, but Lisa never hesitated to continue her pregnancy, even if a co-worker told her she had a choice, she knew God was in control.

“There is no choice, God gave me this child and what this child becomes. If God didn’t want me to keep this child, God would take care of it, and that was His choice.”

Jordan, now 27, has undergone more than  25 surgeries, she is confined to a wheelchair, and competed in the 200-meter and 800-meter wheelchair races at North Hall High School and is part-time lunch monitor at Lisa’s school.

Furthermore, Mrs. Collins studied at Georgia Southern University, North Georgia College & State University and Lincoln Memorial University.

Lisa is a fifth-grade teacher at Mount Vernon Elementary School in Gainesville, Georgia; she also runs her small business, ranging from a scrapbook store to the law firm of Collins and Csider, LLC. and is a realtor with Keller Williams Lainer Partner.
