Jimmy Bennet is the actor who was allegedly paid by older Asia Argento following Bennet’s claims of sexual assault.

It’s been revealed that Asia paid off Bennet after he accused her of sexual assault. This comes as a huge shock since 42-year-old Argento is one of Harvey Weinstein’s first accusers and a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement.

According to reports from the New York Times, Argento settled the notice of intent to sue filed by Jimmy Bennett, who is now 22, for $380,000 shortly after she said last October that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein raped her.

Their encounter took place back in 2013 just months before his 17th birthday at a hotel in California. According to Bennet who is 20-years-younger than Argento, she proceeded to give him alcohol, kiss him, push him back onto the bed, perform oral sex on him … and then climb on top of him to have intercourse.

Bennet says the encounter traumatized him, affected his mental health and damaged his career. The Times also reported the two met while co-starring in a 2004 film, The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, in which Argento played his mother.

James Michael “Jimmy” Bennett –was born February 9, 1996. The Huntington Beach, California native began acting as a child and is known for his roles in Daddy Day Care, Hostage, Poseidon. He’s also appeared in Orphan and as young James T. Kirk in Star Trek. He also starred in No Ordinary Family as JJ Powell.

The 22-year-old has also pursued a career as a musician. In 2011 he released his debut single “Over Again” and has since collaborated with numerous artists like Sean Chambers, John Ginty and the Bruce Katz Band. Bennet who enjoys playing the guitar also has a YouTube channel.

Jimmy Bennet is speaking out about the encounter he had with Asia Argento back in 2013, saying he felt ashamed and wanted to handle things privately.

Bennet told the NY Times after Argento denied his sexual assault claims –that he “believed there was still a stigma to being in the situation as a male in our society. I didn’t think that people would understand the event that took place from the eyes of a teenage boy.”

As for Argento she denies his claim but admitted to TMZ to having intercourse with him back in 2013, telling a friend on a text “The horny kid jumped me,” “I had sex with him it felt weird.”
