Danielle Fleming is the devastated daughter of Lisa Fleming –a participant of the TLC series “My 600 Lb life” who died aged 50.
Lisa a Mobile, Alabama resident weighted over 700 pounds when she decided to become involved with the show.
Her daughter revealed Lisa was sick prior to appearing on the show and that her death comes as result of those illnesses. Danielle Fleming attributed her mother’s death to pre-existing conditions.
Lisa is survived by daughter Danielle, who said her mother’s death had nothing to do with her weight. Lisa Fleming is also survived by Danielle’s twin daughters Alyssa & Aubree.
Lisa appeared on the show earlier this year, it was the show’s sixth season, which began airing in January.
She lost 200 lbs. on the show after undergoing weight loss surgery, and was finally able to stand on her own for the first time in years. She decided to get weight loss surgery after she found maggots in the folds of her skin. According to People, It took seven paramedics to lift Lisa out of her bed and into a waiting ambulance.
TLC released a statement saying “TLC is saddened to hear that Lisa Fleming, who appeared on My 600-lb Life, passed away on August 23, 2018. In February, viewers followed Lisa’s story to overcome childhood struggles and family tragedy during her weight-loss journey with Dr. Now… TLC shares its deepest sympathies to Lisa’s family and friends.”
A devastated Danielle Fleming reveled on Facebook that she couldn’t be with her mother at the time of her passing. She wrote on the post, “I am truly at a loss for words right now. God knows I wanted you to hold on until I got here but He knew what was best for me,” “I didn’t need to see you like that! This morning I sat and held your hand for 4 hours knowing nothing I could’ve done would bring you back to me.”
