Luke Perry
Luke Perry, the film and TV actor best known for his work on Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale, has been hospitalized.
Perry a Mansfield, Ohio native born on October 11, 1966, found fame portraying the role of rebel teen heartthrob Dylan McKay on the hit TV series Beverly Hills 90210 –which he played from 1990 until 1995 and again from 1998 to 2000.
He had found new notoriety on the hit CW series Riverdale, playing Fred Andrews since 2017.
Luke arrived in Hollywood in the mid 80’s, where he worked a string of odd jobs in order to pay for acting classes. After three years of auditioning and numerous rejections, Perry got his first break in 1987, landing the role of Ned Bates in the daytime TV drama Loving.
After the success of Beverly Hills he appeared on his first big-screen role, as Ray Ray in Scorchers. He then embarked on a long stream of TV voiceovers and guest appearances which included HBO’s Oz. He also made his Broadway debut in 2002, in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
According to reports, paramedics were called to his home in Sherman Oaks before he was taken to hospital. The 52-year-old is said to have suffered a massive stroke.
Perry is the father of two children 21-year-old son, Jack and 18-years-old daughter, Sophie –from his marriage to Rachel Minnie Sharp. The couple went their separate ways in 2003 after 10-years of marriage. Their son, Jack is a professional wrestler.
Luke Perry has not had a serious relationship since he divorced Rachel Sharp in 2003. However in 2017 he was pictured holding hands with an unidentified lovely brunette while attending an event in California, Wagcenter reported that pretty lady is Wendy Bauer. He is known for allegedly dating his 90210 co-stars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.
