Beckett Cypheridge
Meet Beckett Cypheridge; he was the youngest son of singer Melissa Etheridge and former girlfriend Julie Cypher. Beckett Etheridge died at the age of 21; the news about Beckett’s death was announced on Twitter on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
A day after Beckett’s death was announced, Melissa took to social media and revealed her son struggled with opioid addiction.
Beckett D. Cypher Etheridge aka Beckett Cypheridge was born on November 18, 1998, in California, via artificial insemination; he and older sister Bailey Jean were born to Julie Cypher and David Crosby (as the sperm donor).
Melissa and Julie who started dating in 1990, eventually split up in August 1990, when Julie told Melissa she was not gay.
Prior to her relationship with Melissa, Julie was married to La Bamba actor Lou Diamond Phillips (1987-1990), Cypher married Matthew Hal in 2004.
In addition to big sister Bailey, Beckett has two youngest siblings, twin sis Johnnie Rose and brother Miller Steven born in October 2006, from Melissa’s relationship to actress Tammy Lynn Michaels, who starred as Nicole Julian in the t.v. series Pupolar alongside Leslie Bibb.
Etheridge went on to marry Linda Wallem on May 31, 2014.
Beckett’s sister Bailey Jean graduated from Columbia in May 2019; she is nowadays an analyst at Goldman Sachs.
Beckett Cypheridge apparently loved skateboarding, motorcycling and riding his Chevrolet truck among other things.
He lived in Hidden Hills, California. According to social media, Melissa Etheridge’s son Beckett Cypheridge studied at highland Hall and Fusion Academy. He later attended Colorado Mountain College Aspen Campus.
He worked at the Vail Resorts and Westing Snowmass Resort in Aspen.
