Meet Sara Murphy, she’ll be featured TONIGHT on ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss!
Owensboro native and Apollo High School graduate Sara was interviewed last week by Morning Man Steve Horn and he promises it’s going to be a show you don’t want to miss!
She had the unique opportunity to document her amazing makeover. She is one of seventeen courageous, obese individuals who set out to safely lose half of their body weight over the course of a year. The metamorphosis is truly amazing! Notice how the space between Sara’s trainers has reduced from the picture above??
About a year ago, Murphy got the surprise of a lifetime! She appeared on Lifestyles on Local 7, and EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS host Christ Powell walked in and invited her to be featured on the ABC show.
So for the past year Sara has been fighting to lose weight right in the national spotlight.
Sara who is only 4’4’’ tall, revealed to the show she has been bullied her whole life, teased with heartbreaking remarks like she is as big around as she is tall.
Her own words about the experience,
“I am so blessed to have been given this wonderful opportunity with Extreme Weight Loss and to have worked so closely with Chris and Heidi Powell.”
Sara was guided through the process by Trainer/transformation specialist Chris Powell. After moving into their homes he makes sure the participants get the proper nourishment and exercise movement. Chris provides a fresh perspective to individuals whose lives have become unmanageable because of their weight.
Back in March she paid a visit WBKR studios and below is a picture of how she looked at nine months into filming, people are freaking out at her transformation!
Can you imagine how she looks now that she completed the program?
Feeling like a new woman, Sara also said
“Now comes the part in which I have to maintain what I achieved this past year in everyday living. I will not lie, it has been tough since my final weigh in. However, knowing how I felt at that moment with Chris and how my health has improved is totally worth the fight it will be in every day life,”
Here is another great quote from Sara “It’s never too late to take action to get your life back”!! Now a days she is striving to help others change their lives through an online support group that she recently created.
To see her final result don’t miss her tonight!
