Meet little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the first born child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The proud parents presented their baby boy born only two days ago to the world at Windsor Castle, for the first public moment as a family. In a royal press announcement on social media, they revealed the baby’s name which is something that always comes with a great deal of anticipation.

The press released reads “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child:

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor”

According to experts, with the name, Meghan and Harry chose not to use a courtesy title for their son.

Speaking in St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle as her husband held their two-day-old child, Meghan said about the arrival of her son”It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.”

At Windsor it was also present, Her Majesty The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland. Archie is Her Majesty The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild, that automatically makes him seventh in line to the British throne. Archie is also believed to be the first mixed-race child born to a senior member of the royal family in centuries.

Both Harry and Meghan were said to be “so incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they’ve received from everyone around the world, since welcoming their son two days ago”

37-year-old Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gave birth to little Archie on the early morning of May 6th, 2019; the little one weighed 7lbs and 3oz. It is believed Meghan was taken to a private hospital late on Sunday night. Reports suggest baby Archie was born at the Portland in London.
