Leslie Marshall is the wife of attorney, businessman, politician and former governor, Bill Weld.

Leslie’s husband has announced he is officially entering the race for president. He becomes the first Republican to challenge Donald Trump in the 2020 race.

Governor Weld was born July 31, 1945; the Smithtown, NY native is a graduate of Harvard College. He studied international economics at University College, Oxford, and received his law degree from Harvard Law.

Bill is an active member of the Council on Foreign Relations and of the InterAction Council. Bill served by Presidential appointment on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council. He was counsel to the House Judiciary Committee during Watergate, and he later ran the criminal division at the Department of Justice under Ronald Reagan.

Weld has been married to writer wife, Leslie Marshall since 2005. She is actually his second wife. Weld was first married to Susan Roosevelt from 1975 until their divorce in 2002. Susan is a great granddaughter of Theodore Roosevelt and the mother of his five children.

He and current wife, Leslie, live in Canton, MA.

Leslie Marshall was born October 25, 1953; the Washington native is a journalist and novelist. She attended National Cathedral School and holds a bachelor of arts at Bryn Mawr College.

Leslie began her career as a journalist and was a reporter for The Washington Post. Her articles have appear on Real Simple, and O, The Oprah Magazine. She also served as contributing editor for InStyle.

She is the author of the novel, A Girl Could Stand Up.

Like her husband Bill Weld, Leslie was also previously married. She and first husband, Dominic Bradlee share three children together, Marshall, Josephine and Beatrice. They split in 1998.

Leslie had been a long-time family friend when she and Bill began an affair.
