Meet Bonnie Mound, she is the mother of Michael F. Egan, a man who accused “X- Men” director Bryan Singer of sexually abusing him when he was a minor. Her son first made headlines last week when he filed a lawsuit against Singer.
Now in recent updates, online sources say her son has named three more Hollywood figures in new lawsuits. Egan’s lawyer Jeff Herman talked about the alleged abusers in a press conference in Los Angeles yesterday, Monday, April 21, saying that he had filed lawsuits against Garth Ancier, David Neuman and Gary Goddard.
According to each of their professional careers, Ancier is a TV executive who contributed to the release of some shows such as “The Ricki Lake Show” as well as “The Simpsons”, “Married With Children” and “In Living Color” on Fox TV. Neuman was a president of Walt Disney Television, while Goddard has produced on-and-off Broadway shows.
During the press conference Bonnie and her son sat down to answer questions from the media. According to her son, now 31-year-old Michael, he was sexually abused when he was a teen.
Her son’s side of events take place in Hawaii and Los Angeles, he says Singer abused him between the ages of 15 and 17 and claims he was also molested by the three other entertainment industry figures. Her son claims he was lured into a sex ring run by a former digital entertainment company executive, Marc Collins-Rector, with promises of auditions for acting, modeling and commercial jobs. He was put on the company’s payroll as an actor and forced to have sex with adult men at parties within Hollywood’s entertainment industry, the lawsuit said.
This caused her son to fall victim of alcoholism. Bonnie was pictured yesterday, tearfully describing her efforts to report alleged abuses to the FBI in 1999 and 2000.
She went on to say she wrote several letters to FBI agents in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., urging them to take action. She questioned why those letters and information her son provided in interviews with an agent did not result in criminal charges.
Bonnie Mound said of her son’s decision to go public with the case,
“We’ve alleged that there’s a Hollywood sex ring” “Somebody has to stand up to these people. You can’t change the stigma that exists in this world against childhood sexual abuse unless someone talks about it.”
