Chase Landry
Chase Landry, the reality TV star best known for appearing in the History channel series Swamp People, was arrested over the weekend.
The 27-year-old allegedly shot at a speeding shrimp boat in Bayou Chene, LA. Chase and the boat took off but cops ultimately tracked him down and was ultimately taken in.
According to TMZ Chase Landry was arrested for illegal discharge of a weapon after shooting a boat. The reason? He feared the boat would hit and sink his boat while out alligator hunting.
He admitted to police that he shot at the shrimper because they refused to slow down “and would have sunk their boat.”
Chase Landry is one of three son’s of the shows’ star and King of the Swamp, Troy Landry. Troy Landry’s brother Guy Landry is also part of the Swamp People reality show on the History Channel. For the last five generations, the Landrys have been involved in hunting, fishing and trappings; the two brothers have only taken the family tradition ahead through the show.
Chase’s mother, Bernita is a facilitator by profession at Pierre Part Elementary School and is also a publicist with the History Channel.
Chase was born April 25, 1989. Chase along with bros’ Jacob and Brandon, teamed up with their father to hunt alligators on TV.
The show first aired in 2010 and has been pretty successful. The series documents the lives of alligator hunters in Louisiana. Chase joined the cast as a full member in Season 3.
Chase has grown quite popular on social media, accumulating more than 50,000 followers on his Twitter account alone.
The alligator hunter and reality television personality is currently based in Pierre Part, Louisiana. Chase is also well known for his family’s website and slogan “Choot ’em!”
