Linda Rae Soules
Linda Rae Soules is the lovely and supportive mother of reality TV star, Chris Soules. You might remember her hunky son as the Bachelor from season 19th.
Back in 2014, Linda’s farmer son stole the heart of many. He set out to look for true love and ultimately a wife on TV.
The Iowa native had previously starred on the tenth season of The Bachelorette with Andi Dorfman. Chris who ended up in third place ultimately became a fan favorite and was chosen as the Bachelor for season 19.
At the end of his search, Soules who had a total of 30-ladies to choose from, popped the question to Whitney Bischoff. However, about six months into their romance, the two announced they had called off their engagement.
In 2015, Chris went onto appear on the ABC reality show Dancing with the Stars. He partnered with Whitney Carson and they actually did pretty good, but a calf injury got them eliminated in week 8, finishing in fifth place.
The only woman in his life these days, appears to be his beloved mother. Meet her below.
Linda Rae was born in 1947. The Iowa native attended Cedar Falls High School and graduated in 1965.
She went onto marry husband Gary Soules –a third generation farmer in 1970.
Together they welcomed four children, three daughters (Lori Nielsen, Lisa Wallace and Jaci Soules) and last but not least son, Christopher Douglas Soules –born on November 6, 1981.
Linda’s handsome son, has been popular from a young age. Chris attended Starmont High School –where he was involved in football, track, and the National FFA Organization. During his senior year, the Starmont High football team was runner-up in the state championship. Soules graduated in 2000 and enrolled at Iowa State University –where he majored in Agricultural Studies.
Linda Rae Soules, her husband and son, all work together as partners in the family’s third generation farming operation, Soules Farms.
Together they farm over 5,500 acres of land. According to his website, Soules Farms is primarily focused on corn and soybean production. In addition, the family turns approximately 20,000 hogs annually through a wean-to-finish operation.
As part of the family business, they also offer accommodations on their ‘Soules Barn and Bunkhouse’ as part of a ‘Iowa getaway.’
Linda’s only son was recently involved in a deadly car crash, reports say, 35-year-old Chris was arrested after he fled the scene.
