Chef Brian Lucas is the husband of Actress Daniele Watts, best known for her role in “Django Unchained” and who was allegedly detained by Los Angeles police after the couple was found kissing in a parked car.
The incident occurred Thursday, after a man in a nearby office asked the fully-clothed couple to “stop putting on a show.” Watts reportedly left the vehicle and was detained by police shortly after when she declined to offer identification.
Some sources say the couple were doing much more than just kissing. While police were cuffing Watts, they questioned her white husband Brian Lucas, who described their questions as filled with “innuendo.” Though police never explicitly said they believed Watts was a prostitute and Lucas was her client, BuzzFeed reports, that’s how Lucas, who described himself and his wife as “a tatted RAWKer white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl,” perceived their questioning.
Police reportedly released Watts once they learned who she was. The LAPD, however, had no record of the incident; according to an LAPD spokesperson the incident was not out of the ordinary because police did not make an arrest. But the actress made sure her version of the story was heard with a lengthy post on her Facebook page.
