The first teaser trailer for Todd Philips’ upcoming comic book origin story –Joker –starring Joaquin Phoenix as DC Comics’ iconic villain has been released.
And in honor of the iconic clown we’ve decided to make a list of the actors who stepped in the role in the past years.
#1 Cesar Romero
The late actor, played the Joker on the Batman television series from 1966 to 1968.
#2 Jack Nicholson
Nicholson played the first theatrical iteration of the Clown Prince of Crime in 1989’s “Batman.”
#3 Mark Hamill
Hamill became the voice of the Joker for the DC Animated Universe starting in 1992.
#4 Kevin Michael Richardson
He voiced a radically restyled Joker for 2004’s “The Batman.”
#5 Jeff Bennett
Bennett voiced Joker in 2008’s “Batman: The Brave and The Bold.”

Veteran voice actor Steve Blum voiced the Joker in 2008’s “Lego Batman: The Videogame.”
