Meet Kimberly Woolen; she was the fourth wife of Glen Campbell. The legendary country singer, known for his 1975 song Rhinestone Cowboy among others greatest hits. Glen died at the age of 81 on August 8, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Mr. Campbell passed away around 10:00 a.m in a facility for Alzheimer’s patients in Nashville, where his wife Kimberly moved him since 2014. At that time, Kim defended her decision to moved her husband to the full-time care facility, after his doctor suggested it.

“The doctors and my team know what care he needs, and they were an integral part of this family decision,” Woolen said in the statement.

“Our children, all of Glen’s brothers and sisters and extended family support me as well as his daughter Kelli. It is very hurtful to have people who are very far removed from our situation to be scrutinizing and judging our private family decision.”

“I sit with him through his meals we hug each other and cuddle. I savor every day,” she said.

First Wife

As noted Kim Woolen was Glen Campbell’s wife #4. The father of eight children initially tied the knot to Mrs. Diane Kirk in 1955. Mrs. Kirk is the mother of Debby Cambell, They separated not long after Debby’s first and eventually divorced in 1959.

Not long after that, he wedded Billy Jean Nunley a stylist from Carlsbad, New Mexico, with whom he had three more children; Kelli, Travis, and Kane. In 1975, Mrs. Nunley filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable difference, the divorce was finalized a year later.

Is third time the charm?

He didn’t stay single for long, as a matter of fact, he tied the knot with Sarah Barg, that same year. Mrs. Barg the ex-wife of singer Mac Davis, gave birth to Glen’s fifth child Dillon in 1980. The birth was a bitter sweet moment indeed since they divorced three weeks after his birth.

Once again, he didn’t embrace the single life and started dating Tanya Tucker the country singer with whom he recorded his hit Dream Lover. They split up the following year.
