According to reports, Heather whose company raised the price of EpiPens by more than 400% was rewarded with a 671% raise! She has been described by Fortune mag, as one of the most powerful women. She happens to be the daughter of West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin.

The pay increase, first reported by NBC News, came as Mylan repeatedly raised the price of the live-saving epinephrine device by increments of 5, 10 and 15%.

According to Forbes, Heather Bresch, CEO of the generic producer Mylan, projected annual sales as high as $11.5 billion last May.

She got her first job with Mylan in 1991 as a clerk, and today stands at pharma’s very center as the sole woman running a big pharmaceutical firm.

Ms. Heather Bresch has been the Chief Executive Officer of Mylan N.V. since January 1, 2012 and its Executive Director since March 01, 2011. Ms. Bresch served as the President of Mylan N.V. from July, 2009 to January 1, 2012, and served as its Vice President of Strategic Corporate Development from May 11, 2005 to February 2006, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President from October 2007 to July 2009. Ms. Bresch was responsible for Mylan’s global commercial and technical operations, strategic planning, business development and international affairs, which includes development of Mylan’s antiretroviral (ARV) franchise.

Heather is married to Jones Day lawyer Jeffrey J. Bresch. Online info reveals, she was previously married to West Virginia businessman Douglas Kirby.

She and hubby Jeff Bresch and their four children live in Sewickley Heights, Pennsylvania. They have been married since 2002.

Jeffrey J. Bresch is a partner with the law firm Jones Day. The husband and father of four is also a licensed private pilot. Like his wife, he also has a successful career.

Accoridng to his LinkedIn he attended Duquesne University School of Law.

Jeff Bresch has trial and litigation experience and has served as lead trial counsel in many successful jury and nonjury trials across the country.

In addition, Jeff serves as counsel to several publicly traded companies. He has authored and coauthored articles on trade secret litigation and actively engages in nationwide speaking engagements on various litigation and related topics, including seminars and presentations on the use of best practices and e-discovery in complex litigation.

He serves on the board of The Watson Institute. He is also active in pro bono programs through the Legal Aid Society of Pittsburgh and Neighborhood Legal Services Association.

Jeff Bresch and his wife are the parents to daughters Kelsey,  Madeline, Chloe and son, Jack.
