Karen de la Carriere is a name that highly resonates within the  Scientology movement. Karen retired from the church in 2010 after being in it for 35-years. She made quite the splash among those most close to her and now the 70-year-old is revealing the church’s innermost and darkest secrets; including how the brutal punishments she endured that all but broke her physically and mentally and how her own son turned against her.

She was dubbed “the queen of Scientologist” as she was married to its President, Heber Jentzsch and rubbed shoulders with the likes of John Travolta. Karen went from being in the top ranks within the organization to being called a ‘Suppressive Person.’ According to an interview with MailOnline, for the first time Karen has given her full, personal and excoriating account and shared a treasure trove of previously unseen pictures from her years inside the notoriously secretive organization.

She sums it up saying

‘Scientology is like tsunami of destruction. It launches at you and when it retreats it leaves behind broken lives, damaged people, bankrupt people, people who thought they were buying a dream but were sold a monster’.

She had the grandiose title of “Presidential Aide” (Heber’s Assistant). On her blog “Surviving Scientology” she recount facts from her past, including how one day she was summoned with Heber to INT base and it did not sound good. Reports indicated she had committed out-security and it was used as a justification to destroy her marriage.

The blog’s welcome reads: …When I started to speak out publicly about abuses and horrific on-going violations of human rights within the Church, they retaliated by coercing my son to “disconnect” from me…

Karen and her husband produced one child, son Alexander Jentzsch who lost his life two years ago in 2012. Reports say 27-year-old Alexander died after an accident. Ms. de la Carriere said at the time she had not seen her son for 2 years, because she was shunned from him after it was revealed she had been criticizing the Church. She found out of his death through a Facebook posting.

In further interviews she stated her son had been suffering from pneumonia and had been given the wrong medical treatment. Alexander, born in 1984 was raised in the Sea Org. He was born in Scientology and knew nothing else. The culture was deeply embedded in him.

Karen’s only son was married to wife Andrea, who performed an abortion to the couple’s first pregnancy due to the religion enforced abortion policy.

There are several online pages, describing Karen’s studies and ultimately holding a level of ‘enlightenment.’ In the early 1970s, Karen moved to St. Hill to start auditor training. She lived for 2 years at St. Hill UK doing all auditor courses and internships. Then, after the previous Power auditor returned to Australia, Karen was the only Power auditor around during days. Karen holds the world record for having audited some 2000 Power preclears. After graduating her Class VIII Internship Karen was encouraged by the LRH Personal Librarian, Ann Greig and the LRH Personal Secretary Irene Thrupp to visit the Apollo.

Karen went to the Apollo as Public for auditing for 2 weeks and did not leave except to visit home from time to time. Instead she eventually became a crew member aboard the Apollo and became one of only 7 Class XII CSes ever made.

Karen Stated in an interview with APIS, “My folders went to LRH almost daily although David Mayo was my direct CS. In the internship room at 8:30am sharp after Roll Call with Jeff Walker the Intern Supervisor, we all studied the latest LRH C/Ses done the night before. Literally as these C/Ses rolled out, and ink barely dry, we studied the last session and how LRH C/sed the case.” She went on, “Those were the days! I can state that my Apollo days were THE happiest, the most adventurous, the most challenging and exhilarating days of my life.”

In September 1975 the Apollo landed at Daytona. Karen stayed in a hotel until the Clearwater Fort Harrison was founded as the Flag Land Base In Clearwater, Florida.

“From 1975 to 1979 I audited the Ls morning, noon and night. I was sent all over the world on the famous Flag World Tours, to give speeches on the Ls and tell my rare LRH anecdotes.” she said. “I flew at the rate of one city a month and was sent to do major re- views of tough bogged cases or “failed cases” as a flub-catch. I did over 30 Sea Org Missions and attained and was graded AFFLUENCE for a huge majority of these missions.”

“In 1980 I went for NOTS training as both auditor and CS and trained up to Class XII CS, c/sing the LS. At the peak, we had some 19 Ls auditors (and 30 years later only 9 Ls auditors exist!) I have also audited, CSed and SOLO’d thousands of hours of NOTS. Then from 1982 to 1987 I worked at OSA which was the new name for the old Guardian’s office.”

Karen added as a final note, “After 6 months of hell at INT BASE, courtesy of Miscavige, I was sent to audit NOTS at AOLA and routed out of the Sea Org in 1990. Like many, I paid cash for every single course, every single Auditor internship, and every single CS internship by way of a fully paid freeloader bill for the above courses.”

Over three decades later Karen claims the Church of Scientology executives blockaded her from seeing her own son’s body and attending her own son’s funeral. She also says David Miscavige who has run the Church of Scientology for three decades is a corrupt evil psychopath responsible for the deaths of many people who, like her own son, succumbed to oppression.

The now 70-year-old seems to have left her past behind her and now calls herself a Scientology cult whistleblower and art dealer.
