Lil Xan
Lil Xan, the California native rapper known for his single ‘Betrayed’ had a scary experience where he had to be escorted by a police officer.
The 21-year-old was in in his hometown of Redlands, CA; earlier this week for a meet and greet; but when he made a stop at a Del Taco restaurant, he was surrounded by a group of high school-aged kids who were upset over his comments about Tupac.
He ultimately ran to nearby YMCA and was safely escorted to his car by a police officer. TMZ reports Xan apparently had the not so brilliant idea of calling Tupac’s music “Boring.”
Lil Xan released a statement correcting TMZ and saying police was already there to escort him. He also changed his thoughts on Tupac and now says the late rapper is a legend. Ah to be young…
Xan was born September 6, 1996 as Diego Leanos. His family is of Mexican descent. Lil Xan attended Redlands East Valley High School but dropped out while in his freshman year. He began selling drugs and got addicted to Xanax but was able to quit after two years. He is now anti Xanax.
He briefly pursued a career as a photographer but eventually began rapping after his camera got stolen. He built his fan base using platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. He released Betrayed –which peaked at no. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 –last August.
The unsinged artist is also known for other singles such as, “Slingshot,” “Been Bout It,” and “Who Are You.” He is currently working on his Total Xanarchy tour, announced last December.
Xan, as usual among young artist, has a lot of girlfriends but it appears none of them are serious right now. He’s been linked to several young women, including a girl named Jessica Amelia, Yuleema Imaginee –who goes on Instagram by suavecitamamacita and has 1.5 million followers –and most recently Xan has been romantically linked to YouTuber, Tana Mongeau.
