Meet Mei Sze Chan

Mei Sze Chan is the wife of 60-year-old Real estate billionaire, Jeff Greene. Her hubby known for his Palazzo di Amore estate in Beverly Hills dubbed the ‘Most expensive’ mansion in U.S. –just cut the price from $195 million to $149 million, nearly a 25% cut, reports say.

According to the L.A. Times, Greene bought the property in 2007 for $35 million and spent eight years expanding the Mediterranean-style mansion. Greene put his Palazzo di Amore on the for-sale market in November.

Greene also owns properties in Florida, New York and California and is known as one of the top developers in Palm Beach County.

Mei Sze Chan became a billionaire over night, that’s one way to see it. The former real estate executive, who is of Chinese-Australian descent wedded Jeff in 2007. Mei Sze Chan is 20-years-younger then Jeff Greene. At the time of their marriage, Greene said about her “I just wish I had met Mei Sze 20 years ago.”

Mei Sze Chan was a refugee from Malaysia, she and her family fled to Australia and later arrived to the U.S. She had a hard time goring up near Sydney, where strangers told her to “go back where you came from.” After graduating from Macquarie University in Sydney, she left for New York.

She was in her early 30’s when she and Jeff Greene met –she was the owner of a real estate business in Mountain Dale, in the Catskills region –and met Greene at a late-night party in the Hamptons in 2006.

They tied the knot at their 27-acre Beverly Hills canyon estate in September 2007. Boxer Mike Tyson was the best man according to the New York Times wedding review.

The marriage of 8-years are the parents of two children. Mei Sze Chan gave birth to the couple’s first son, Malcolm in 2009. The following year, her hubby was a candidate in the 2010 Senate election primaries in Florida. He lost to Republican Marco Rubio.
