Meet Monique Griego
Monique Griego is the news reporter 77-year-old, NAACP leader, Don Harris was referring to when he burst “nice t–s” to a female reporter!
Don is under fire after making the sexist comment. According to the NY Daily News, Harris, president of the civil rights organization’s Maricopa County chapter, was speaking about reaction to six girls spelling the N-word on their shirts at a local high school when he said “nice t–s” to Monique Griego.
The former lawyer can be heard as he was caught on tape by the Phoenix New Times saying the offensive remark.
In a bizarre and poor attempt to apologize, Harris used the word F-word while telling the Times: “I apologize if anyone was offended. I could have said nothing . . . I’m really f—ing sorry.”
Hence gaining further backlash.
As for Monique Griego, she appears to be a very private person. As of now she hasn’t given any statements regarding the awkward episode and has deleted her social media accounts.
It could possibly be because according to a statement from, 12 News Griego didn’t hear Harris’s comment when it was said, and did not want to comment on the incident.
