Deborah Rennard
Deborah Rennard is the stunning wife of Hollywood heavyweight Paul Haggis –her husband is an Oscar winning filmmaker.
Deborah’s husband is well known for winning the Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture for the 2004 film Crash. He also won an Academy Award for Best Picture for producing the 2004 drama Million Dollar Baby, a film he also wrote.
The Canadian was born March 10, 1953 as Paul Edward Haggis. He initially wanted to become a fashion photographer after viewing the 1966 film Blowup. His work also includes co-writing the script for the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale.
Giving his line of work is not weird he ended up marrying Deborah Rennard who is an actress best known for her role as J.R. Ewing’s secretary on “Dallas.”
Deborah was born November 4, 1959; the California native also appeared on Days of Our Lives and the films Land of Doom and Lionheart alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The couple tied the knot in 1997 and have welcomed four children since. Deborah Rennard is the mother of three daughter Alissa, Katy, Lauren and one son, James.
The couple has faced their fair share of trouble. In 2012 it was said they were divorcing amicably after being separated for two years. According to Page Six around the same time he was accused of having become a regular fixture on the New York party circuit after been spotted with younger ladies on his arm. It is not clear if the two are still together.
Deborah Rennard and Haggis were members of the Church of Scientology. But Haggis famously renounced the church in a letter that led to an explosive New Yorker piece. The article reported that one reason for Haggis’ leaving was that Rennard was allegedly “ordered” to “disconnect” from her parents when they broke from Scientology.
