Lahna Turner is the lovely wife of stand –up comedian, Ralph Oliver May best known as Ralphie May –who died today at age 45.

Lahna’s husband was said to have been suffering from pneumonia and succumbed to cardiac arrest after his body was found this morning at a private residence in Las Vegas. He was in the middle of a nationwide tour and had received the Casino Comedian of the Year award at the Global Gaming Expo.

Born in February 17, 1972; The Tennessee native went onto compete in the first season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing landing second place in 2003.

The popular standup comic moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entrainment following his graduation from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston. He had previously won a contest to open for his idol, Sam Kinison.

May who at 16, survived a car accident in which he broke over 40 bones –appeared in numerous comic shows including, The Wayne Brady Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was also the only white comedian on The Big Black Comedy Show.

By 2005, he had released his debut comedy album titled, Just Correct. He also recorded four Comedy Central specials, appeared at the “Gathering of the Juggalos 2012” and in 2015’s Unruly on Netflix. Most recently the comedian had a residency at Harrah’s Las Vegas.

May is survived by his wife Lahna Turner; and their two children.

Lahna Turner and May were married on July 3, 2005. Lahna Turner is the mother of the couple’s children: daughter, April June May born in 2007 and August James May –born in 2009.

Turner who is also a comedian and host of the Perfect 10 Podcast –filed for divorce from May in 2015, it is thought their divorce was still pending. At the time the mom of two cited irreconcilable differences and was asking for sole physical custody of their kids. She was also asking for joint legal custody.

She told TMZ earlier this year, May had gotten abusive and as result she requested a restraining order.

Lahna Turner who also writes comedic songs, recently released Limeade, a “comedic homage” to Beyonce Knowles’ Lemonade album.
