Robert Kraft the billionaire owner of the New England Patriots has been charged with a misdemeanor involving a prostitution ring joint.
Recent reports indicate the NFL team owner has been charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution at a Florida spa, evidence has all been caught on tape.
According to a police investigation Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter is tied to an international human trafficking ring, and it’s the same place where Kraft allegedly paid for sexual services. The spa has since been shut down, and is among nine other businesses according to a month’s long investigation conducted in Orlando, Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast.
The findings revealed women working in the spa, lived there and were not permitted to leave. Many of them are reportedly of Chinese nationality. The owner, identified as 58-year-old Hua Zhang –has been arrested and was charged with deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution, keeping and frequenting a house of prostitution and 26 counts of procuring for prostitution. At least three other women have been charged with human trafficking.
Kraft is the head of the Kraft Group, a holding company with investments in a number of industries, including sports and real estate. He is best known as the owner of the Patriots –which he acquired in 1994 for $172 million. Since then, the NFL team has played in 10 Super Bowls, winning six of them, including this past season.
77-year-old Kraft –who is a longtime seasonal resident of Palm Beach County –allegedly made a couple of visits to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. A statement released by the Patriots denied that Kraft had committed a crime and also added they will not be commenting further.
On the other hand, a police spokesperson revealed officers involved in the sting wore body cameras, and also were involved in ongoing surveillance at the business.
Kraft has been in a romantic relationship with actress/designer Noel Lander since 2012. He was previously married to late wife, Myra Kraft.
