Robin Antin
Robin Antin is the entertainment personality and clothing entrepreneur who is best known for creating the all-girl-group, the Pussycat Dolls.
Robin was born July 6, 1961; the California native has worn many hats throughout her career including, actress, dancer, choreographer and clothing designer.
Following the success of the Pussycat Dolls –which began as a burlesque troupe in 1995 which later morphed into a pop/dance group signed to Interscope. –Antin has gone onto create other girl groups, including Girlicious, the Paradiso Girls, and G.R.L.
With the Dolls, Robin not only founded a pop recording group with international hits, but also diversified into other ventures including, a Las Vegas nightclub venue and floorshow, various merchandise, and a reality television series.
The Pussycat Dolls, her most successful creation, are known for the song “Don’t Cha” but better known for skimpy outfits and sultry poses. They disbanded in 2010 after a hugely successful run, which included sales of 54 million records.
Robin is definitely a well-known personality in the industry, as a choreographer she’s worked with the likes of Paris Hilton, Anastacia, Pink, No Doubt and others. She’s been dancing professionally since the age of 12.
She made a name for herself in music videos of the 1980s and ’90s, first as a dancer, later as a choreographer, working on everything from Academy Awards dance numbers to directing Paris Hilton and Hannah Ferguson in the infamous “That’s hot” Carl’s Jr. burger ads.
Antin grew-up in Van Nuys and has three brothers, two of them also work in entertainment. Her brother Jonathan Antin is a celebrity hairstylist known for his TV show, Blow Out. Steve Antin is an actor and director while, Neil Antin works in marketing vitamin energy shots.
Now in her 50’s the group mogul has a consolidated presence in Hollywood, however the same can’t be said about her personal life. Robin is believed to be single and has never been married. She and producer McG dated back in 2008.
She is currently accused of running a prostitution ring by one-time Pussycat Dolls’ member Kaya Jones.
