Leigh Janiak
Leigh Janiak is the lovely wife of screenwriter, Ross Duffer also known as one half of the Duffer Brothers, creators of hit Netflix series, Stranger Things.
Leigh’s hubby and his twin brother, Matt, were born February 15, 1984 and hail from Durham, North Carolina. They are the children of Ann M. Christensen and Allen P. Duffer.
The brotherly duo are known for writing and directing science fiction and horror shows for film and television. Ross and his brother, became interested in making films, after they received video cameras from their parents as a gift while they were in the third grade. They both attended Chapman University. Is almost impossible to talk about one without the other.
They gained popularity with their script for the post-apocalyptic horror film, Hidden –which was acquired by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2011. Shortly after they were hired to write and produce the Fox series, Wayward Pines.
Their most recent projects, ‘Stranger Things’ has been a huge success, however recent reports accuse the Ross and his brother of stealing the idea! Although Matt is still single, Ross has his pretty wife to lean on. Meet her below.
Leigh Anne Janiak happens to share her husband’s profession. She is also a filmmaker born February 1, 1980; meaning she is four-years older than her man. She is the daughter of Karen L. Janiak and Nestor K. Janiak Jr. of Mentor, Ohio.
She attended both New York University and the University of Chicago –where she received a master’s degree in modern Jewish studies.
Leigh Janiak was the director and a writer of the screenplay for the 2014 horror film “Honeymoon.” In 2016, she was hired to write and direct The Craft remake. Last year, she rising horror director, closed a deal to rewrite and helm Fear Street.
She met her future husband back in 2006 while working at a production company in Los Angeles where she was an assistant to the producer. The couple tied the knot December 22, 2015. According to their wedding announcement, the couple was married at Korakia Pensione, a resort in Palm Springs, Calif.
