Judith Giuliani
Judith Giuliani is the wife of Rudolph William Louis, the lawyer, businessman, former politician, and public speaker from New York better known as, Rudy Giuliani.
Judith’s 72-year-old husband –who is well known for his leadership in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks –was clearly not a bit impressed with Beyonce’s VMA performance. During an interview on Fox & Friends, the former NY City mayor had this to say when asked about his opinion on her performance:
“You’re asking the wrong person,” he replied, “because I have five uncles who were police officers, two cousins who were, one who died in the line of duty. I ran the largest and best police department in the world, the New York City Police Department, and I saved more black lives than any of those people you saw on stage by reducing crime and particularly homicide by 75 percent … of which, maybe four or five thousand were African American young people who are alive today because of the policies I put in effect that weren’t in effect for 35 years.”
What would Giuliani’s loyal wife of 13-years, Judith Giuliani think of her husband’s remarks on queen Bee?
Giuliani has been married three times. He married his second cousin, Regina Peruggi in 1968 and divorced her in 1982. That same year, he married TV personality, Donna Hanover. Giuliani and Hanover officially divorced in 2002. From his second marriage, he is the father of son Andrew and daughter Caroline.
Judith is a Pennsylvania native. She was born Judi Ann Stish in 1954 and is a registered nurse. Like Giuliani, she was also married twice before.
She and Rudy met back in 1999. It was she who approached Giuliani, who was then married and a father, with words of admiration and a proffered business card.
She was previously married to Jeffrey Ross and wedded second husband, Bruce Nathan only five days after her divorce from Ross. Judith and Ross were married from 1974-1979 and her second marriage was from 1979-1992. Two years later the couple left for Atlanta, where, in 1985, they adopted Whitney.
In 1994, she met Manos Zacharioudakis, who she lived with until 1999 and had only good things to say about Judith in a 2007 New York Daily News interview.
She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a nursing degree in 1974, The New York Times reports.
During her husband’s presidential bid, a number of revelations came to public attention, including Judith was listed as a salaried employee, The New York Daily News reported.
According to that report, she was paid $125,000 a year to help him with speech writing, even before they were married. The income was reported on their joint tax returns.
According to Vanity Fair, Judith worked hard during the days after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, sitting in on important meetings with officials and staying by Giuliani’s side. She volunteered at the Family Assistance Center on Pier 94 and was a founding board member of the Twin Towers Fund.
She’s also been recognized in the past for her philanthropic efforts. In 2005, she picked up a community award from the Junior League of the City of New York, with Walters introducing her. In 2006, she received New York University College of Nursing‘s humanitarian award at the college’s first commencement.
She and Giuliani have been married since 2003.
