Vanessa Bates
Vanessa Bates is the mother of late UFO expert, Max Spiers. Her 39-year-old son is said to have died under ‘suspicious’ circumstances, however his demise, is yet to be investigated by authorities.
Spiers was prominent in conspiracy theorist circles, and had made a career out of investigating UFOs and alleged cover-ups.
In a recent interview, Ms. Bates came forward in saying her son’s work, may have made him enemies who wanted him dead.
According to reports, it has been revealed the death of her son, which took place while he was in Poland, has not been investigated since, it occurred abroad.
A spokesperson told The Independent the FCO provided assistance to the family of a British national following his death, but explained the UK had no jurisdiction to investigate the death of British nationals overseas.
Spiers was found dead on a sofa in a Warsaw apartment back in July. According to close friends, Spiers died after vomiting a black liquid and complaining of migraines for a number of days.
He is survived by his mother, a brother, Josh, a sister, Becky and two young sons.
63-year-old Vanessa Bates spoke about her son, saying he had recently moved on to investigating politicians, business people, and celebrities.
Ms. Bates can be heard saying:
“These people seemed to be involved in some very, very dark and dangerous areas of the world and I was afraid that as he was gaining popularity and fame that perhaps somebody would want him out of the way i.e. not alive any longer,”
Vanessa Bates reveals in the video-interview posted on YouTube, her son, who lived with her in Kent before he left to Poland, was ‘in good spirits.’ She also described him as a ‘strong and fit’ person, who could unlikely have died of ‘natural causes’ as Polish authorities have claimed so far.
Vanessa Bates is not the only one who believes someone may have wanted her son gone. Many of Mr. Spiers online followers believe he may have been murdered because of his investigations.
Ms Bates also adds:
“All I have is a death certificate from the Polish authorities that it was from natural causes, but no post-mortem was done, so how can they tell that?
“They are also refusing to release any paperwork about it to me because, absurdly, I don’t have his written permission.”
According to the Daily Mail, Vanessa Bates received a chilling text from her son, just days before his death, saying: ‘Your boy’s in trouble. If anything happens to me, investigate.’
A bizarre text message, her son filling ill just days before his death and vomiting a ‘black liquid’ could Vanessa Bates be right and say her son was perhaps poisoned?
