Meet Victoria Homewood, she was the partner of “James Bond” stuntman, Mark Sutton. Victoria and Sutton were dating and very much in love at the time of his tragic death last August. She was with him during that awful day on August 14.
Victoria’s boyfriend tragically lost his life during an event – HeliBASE 74 – organised by EpicTV; Mark, who wowed crowds as 007 at the Olympics opening ceremony, crashed into a mountain ridge at a speed of 155 mph. He was one of 23 world-class wingsuit pilots taking part in a non-competitive event in Trient, Switerland, near the French town of Chamonix.
The 39-year-old resident of Guildford, U.K is a consultant literacy trainer at Ruth Miskin Literacy. And according to her linkedin she currently holds this position. Victoria has eighteen years’ teaching experience in state and independent schools and has taught across the entire primary age range from Reception to Year 6. Enthusiastic and devoted to her profession, she has been consistently graded as outstanding in inspections.
She has a keen interest in and extensive experience of teaching first-stage reading and writing, having worked as a literacy coordinator and performed a senior role as SENCO. She previously worked as Head of Pre-prep at a leading independent school in Sussex for 10 years She successfully implemented the Read Write Inc. program.
Thanks to her work ethics and passion for teaching during a subsequent Ofsted inspection deemed achievement for all abilities in all areas of learning to be outstanding. Her managerial role means that she recognizes the need to support staff; she is also passionate about ensuring that staff feel completely confident teaching children how to read and write, and that all children become confident readers and thereby develop a life-long love of reading.
Last year during the London Olympics, Homewood posted photographs on the night of the ceremony and on one of them (pictured above), she wrote: “My very handsome 007 xxx”. She used the fond nickname once again, but this time to say her goodbyes. A few days after her beloved partner’s death she said on a statement released to the Daily Telegraph:
My handsome ‘007’ brought joy and laughter to millions during last year’s London Olympic Games opening ceremony. For those few moments in the media spotlight the world saw the immensely gifted, professional and brilliant man who has been tragically snatched away from us.
Mark was the most loving and loyal man, utterly selfless in all he did. His patience and kindness touched many people’s lives.
He was passionate about life, nature, the mountains and the sky. We sorely miss him. His passion, spirit, bravery and love will live on to inspire us all.
For us nothing will ever fill the void left by Mark’s untimely passing, I hope you will respect our right to grieve in peace and grant Mark’s close family and friends time and space to mourn our loss with dignity.
Do you think she would agree with the release of new dramatic footage of her boyfriend giving the thumbs up just seconds before his death?
